Joining Lessons
Here's how to get into any English lesson you have booked at doyouspeak.com
Step 1: Check Skype
If you have chosen to take the lesson over your landline telephone, then you can skip this step.
If you said you will use Skype, then make sure you have Skype running on your computer, that you are logged into Skype using the Skype address you entered on your doyouspeak account, and that your Skype status is not set to Offline.
It's a really good idea to do a Skype test call to check your headphones and microphone are working correctly.

If you are having trouble setting up your headset and getting the sound to work, then see Skype’s excellent sound setup guide at:
www.skype.com/help/guides/soundsetup.html
If that doesn't help, you may have a problem with your sound card. Please test this by trying to play other sounds on your computer. If you still need help, please contact us via Skype chat at doyouspeak.com or by email at cs@doyouspeak.com explaining your issue and we will do all we can to help.
Step 2: Enter the Online Classroom
At least five minutes and up to fifteen minutes before the time for each lesson, please log into your account at:
www.doyouspeak.com
If for any reason you have trouble logging in, go to login help.
On the My home page, you are shown your scheduled lesson times. If you have a lesson imminent or in progress, then you will also see a link "Start your lesson" above the table of lesson times.
To enter the Online Classroom, just click on the link Start your lesson. The Online Classroom will then open in a new browser window or tab.
Step 3: Answer the call
On the hour or soon after, your teacher will call you on your landline phone or on Skype (depending on the settings in your profile).
If you have chosen Skype, then you will hear the Skype ringing tone and see a box in the middle of your screen. Press the green button to answer the call and say hello to your teacher.
The teacher will begin the lesson when everyone has joined the call and is able to communicate (which might take a minute or two).
Please make sure you keep the Online Classroom visible on your screen at all times during the lesson.
