Help for issues occurring during the lesson

What issue do you need help for:

• I can’t hear the lesson
• I can hear the lesson but nobody can hear me
• I can’t see the lesson content
• The sound quality is poor

I can't hear the lesson

Before doing anything - use the chat window to tell your teacher "I can’t hear".

First check your headset is on, and any volume control on the headset itself is turned up.

If this doesn't solve the problem, look at the status bar on the bottom right of your computer screen - it should not be showing IMAGE. If it is, click on it once and uncheck the 'mute' box.

I can hear the lesson but nobody can hear me

Before doing anything - use the chat window to tell your teacher "I can hear. Can you hear me?".

Check your microphone is on, and any volume control for that microphone (hardware or software control) is turned up.

I can't see the lesson content

Is this windmill moving or not?

If the windmill is not moving, then it means you do not have Flash installed. So, please use the chat to tell your teacher "I don’t have Flash". Your teacher will tell you what to do next.

If the windmill is turning, then it may be that the teacher has not yet started the lesson. Please use the chat window to tell your teacher "I can’t see the lesson content". Your teacher will tell you what to do next.

The sound quality is poor

Before doing anything - use the chat window to tell your teacher "sound quality is poor".

Your teacher may choose to disconnect from Skype, and then he or she will call you back.

Note that even when you are not connected on Skype, you can still use Classroom chat window to communicate with your teacher.
