Overview of the Online Classroom

The Online Classroom is the place where you will improve your English speaking and listening! It all works within your normal browser (Internet Explorer or Firefox).

We aim to make the Classroom really easy to use so you can concentrate on learning English rather than on your computer system.

• The largest panel, which says "Welcome!", is where the main lesson content will appear during your class.
• Your teacher is shown on the small blue panel. You and any other students in the class are shown on the green panels.
• Below these is a chat window for text chat.

During a lesson

When your teacher has reached all the students due in the lesson and they are all in the call, he or she will begin the lesson. You will then see the first slide. During a lesson, concentrate on the main content panel, and on listening and speaking via the phone or Skype.

Please make sure you keep the Online Classroom visible on your screen at all times.

At some points, your teacher may also ask you to write in the chat window. This works just like most other chat systems. Just click in the entry box, type in your chat line and hit the Enter key.
