Our lessons are one to one. Just you and your English teacher. You are at home, at work, wherever you want. Your DoYouSpeak English teacher calls you from England.

In the first trial lesson, your teacher gives you a detailed assessment to find out where you are now with your English and your objectives.

Depending on your needs, level and goals, your teacher will suggest a suitable course with DoYouSpeak.

Value for money

We’ve found that the best way to improve your English quickly is a blended approach where you do some suitable elearning “homework” or preparation in between each lesson with your English teacher. The amount and type of the elearning depends on your goals and your time available.

Your course is priced based on the number of lessons with the teacher – for example €197 for a course of 10 lessons – less than €20 per lesson. All the self study elearning is provided at no extra charge.

A typical example of the elearning “homework” contains text, sound clips and a video. This makes the lessons interesting and enjoyable – much more fun than the English you learned at school!  In fact, we don’t want it to feel like homework at all!

I like the articles Kirsten sends me a few days before each lesson. I have enough time to prepare them, and I ask Kirsten questions in the lesson, for instance on pronunciation of difficult words.

Online English lessons

Our aim is to have you speaking English with confidence, and receiving personal attention from your own English teacher is by far the best way.

A typical lesson starts by reviewing your self-study elearning. What did you find challenging? What questions do you have on the text or the exercises? This could take a few minutes, or longer if important points of grammar, pronunciation or understanding come up.

The lesson is then guided by your teacher who will introduce exercises, text, photos, videos and sound clips to help improve your English skills. The personal nature of the lesson means that you can decide what you talk about or be led by the teacher. The lessons are relevant to your own life experiences both professionally and personally.

The lessons are interesting because there are so many different resources. I like the videos best because they are difficult to understand, and I have to concentrate hard. I think my English has already improved. There is nothing I don't like.
